Answer to Accreditation and WASC Questions
Lassen High School is fully Accredited
One of the biggest questions we get is whether or not our high schools are accredited. The answer is they are. You can check accreditation through the ACS WASC directory https://www.acswasc.org/wasc/acs-wasc-directory/.
Who is in charge of accreditation
The Accrediting Commission for Schools (WASC) is in charge of our accreditation. According to the WASC website, WASC is one of six regional accreditation agencies in the United States. They work with 18 associations in a joint accreditation processes that includes the California Department of Education (CDE) to create a standardized process.
You can find more information about accreditation on the WASC website at https://www.acswasc.org/wasc/acs-wasc-overview/
