The Human Resources Department supports the entire District in all matters related to personnel, including employee recruitment, orientation, and volunteer information.
The employees of Lassen Union High School District are our most valuable resource in delivering a quality educational program to our students. Understanding this, the Human Resources Department aims to recruit the best candidates for all available positions within the District, create an environment that encourages optimal staff performance and satisfaction, and enhance employee-employer relations.

Substitutes
All substitutes, certificated and classified, must register with the Lassen County Office of Education to be placed on the consortium’s substitute list. Certificated substitutes must have a valid California Teaching Credential. Those who do not hold a valid California Teaching Credential may be eligible to apply for an Emergency 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit. Permits are obtainable with a minimum of a BS/BA degree and passage of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). The Lassen County Office of Education provides assistance to individuals wishing to be guest teachers or paraprofessionals in all districts in Lassen County.
