Everything You Need to Know

Small but mighty:

Lassen Union High School District (LUHSD) is a 9-12 grade school district in Susanville, California. Located in the rural countryside, the district is the largest high school district in the county with a student population of approximately 800 students between two schools. A traditional high school, Lassen High School, and a continuation school, Lassen Community Day School.

Even with our small student body we have a dedicated staff and are able to offer many AP classes, extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, online classes, and a wide range of curriculum meant to help our students be college and career ready.

Our state test scores are often above the state average in English and we continue to work on exceeding standards, but we also understand that test scores are not everything. At Lassen, we believe that every student can succeed and we offer various career pathways and alternative learning environments, along with traditional and core classes. Check out our student handbook for more information.

In addition, LUHSD also offers an adult education program, Diploma Gold, that allows adults to complete their high school credits so that they can obtain their high school diploma. This is an actual diploma not a GED program.
