The Human Resources Department serves the entire District for all personnel issues, employee recruitment, orientation, and volunteer information.
The employees of Lassen Union High School District are the most important resource for providing a quality educational program for the students of our community. Recognizing this, it is the goal of the Human Resources Department to recruit the best candidates for all open positions in the District, foster a climate that produces optimum staff performance and satisfaction, and promote employee/employer relations.
All substitutes, certificated and classified, must register with the Lassen County Office of Education to be placed on the consortium’s substitute list. Certificated substitutes must have a valid California Teaching Credential. Those who do not hold a valid California Teaching Credential may be eligible to apply for an Emergency 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit. Permits are obtainable with a minimum of a BS/BA degree and passage of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). The Lassen County Office of Education provides assistance to individuals wishing to be guest teachers or paraprofessionals in all districts in Lassen County.
